The POTOC local events provide courses for beginners and club orienteers of different standards. Registration is from 10:00 to 11:30. To offset the cost of staging these events, a fee of £3·00/£1·50 will be charged (reduced to £2·50/£1·00 for POTOC members). Usually, one course is specially designed for practice in particular skills and the Club Coach will be on hand to give instruction and personal help; it is best to come early, at 10:00 if possible.

At the event, you will be asked to complete a registration slip. If you would prefer to prepare your registration slip[s] in advance, you can download blank slips in one of several formats: Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Word or OpenOffice 2.

The club runs a league for schools and youth groups which compete in POTOC local events.

The POTOC annual membership fee (including Local British Orienteering membership) is £22·00 for a family, £14·00 for an individual senior or £3·00 for an individual junior. Contact the New Members Secretary.

		Evening event – start times from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. From the A34, take the A5027 to Stone. Turn left onto the one-way system. At the War Memorial, go straight ahead on the A520. Over the railway bridge, turn left in front of Langtrey’s pub, then immediately right. 500 m beyond Oulton village, as the road starts to dip and bear left, turn into the camp entrance on the right. Follow the one-way system into the car park.

		This is a mass start score event: all competitors will start at 11:00. Register between 10:00 and 10:45. After the event there will be a barbecue for competitors and club members. Bring your own food and drink, and tableware Signposted from the B5040 Hanley to Weston Coyney road on Park Hall Road. From Weston Coyney (off the A520) turn right into Hulme Road after 1·0 km. From Hanley follow the signs towards Weston Coyney from the A52 and turn left 0·6 km after the gasholder by the mini-roundabout. After 0·6 km turn right off this minor road into the car park.
