Planners' Comments

Many thanks to everyone who took part and to Henry and Brenda for their assistance. The weather was perfect for orienteering although slightly chilly when the sun went in. The turn out was therefore disappointing and this may have been in part due to the fact that people were away for the bank holiday weekend. It is not a difficult area and this makes it a challenge to devise interesting courses, but at least everyone appeared to enjoy themselves. The undergrowth was much more friendly than at last year's event. One control was stolen at the start of the day which only affected Jonathan Millward's run but this almost certainly cost him first place on the hard course.
