The main concern when planning at Chatterley Whitfield is safeguarding our control units. We attempted to combat this by only siting controls where there was a robust attachment point and by pulling in the controls as early as possible. We were only just in time. Thanks to Jon Millward for scaling a tree to retrieve Control 3 on the Easy course. Local youngsters had broken off a branch to pull it free and tossed it as high as they could. Austin found a group of boys busy sawing through a branch at Control 11 on the Hard course to remove what they thought was a 'spy-camera'. They were quite happy to talk to him about it when they realised he was not aggressive! Hope you all enjoyed your runs. It was pleasing to meet so many newcomers. Please come again. Thank you to all our helpers.
